It’s Not Over Yet!

Two weeks ago, I was on a standby flight and had already missed my connection because my flight leaving Nassau was delayed. So I practically ran down to the next gate only to be told by the agent, “This is a full flight. I don't think you'll get on, but you can have a seat.”

It felt like the longest few minutes ever. I listened as names were called and final boarding announcements were made. When a few passengers didn't show up, I started to get hopeful. Just as I allowed a little joy to rise, a flurry of people came running in. My heart sank. I thought, Oh well, there's no way I'm getting on this flight now.

Still, I waited. Then I heard, “Keisha Cleare!” To my disbelief, I jumped up and got on the flight!

 Heart Truths:

There are moments in life that feel just like that waiting gate when you've done all you can and it seems like your moment has already passed.

You've prayed. You've worked. You've believed, but nothing seems to be moving.

We start thinking the door is closed, the opportunity missed, or that it's simply too late.

Maybe it's the dream you've carried for years that hasn't taken off yet.
Maybe it's your marriage that feels weary or your child who seems distant.
Maybe it's the vision for your ministry or business that feels stuck on standby.

When life says, “This flight is full,” it's easy to assume the story's over, but here's the truth: it's not over until God says it's over. He has a way of showing up right at the end, just so you'll know it was Him who made the way.

Even when it looks like it's over, God can still make room for you. He shows up right on time, not a second early, or  a second late.

So don't lose hope.
Don't be discouraged by what hasn't happened yet.
Don't let what you see convince you it's the end.

If God made you a promise, hold on.
He's still writing your story.

 Loving Well in Action:

You may wonder if your efforts still matter. Remember, someone, your husband, your child, your friend, your ministry, your team is depending on your faith to keep believing.

So before you give up, try this:

  1. Pause and Reflect: What situation has you ready to throw in the towel? Name it.

  2. Pray and Believe: Ask God for renewed faith to trust His timing.

  3. Persevere in Love: Keep showing up for your people, your purpose, and your promise even when the outcome looks uncertain.

Remember, loving well sometimes looks like holding on when it would be easier to let go.

It's not over yet!

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” ~ Matthew 19:26 (NIV)
