Don’t Let Life’s Curve Balls Stop You!

My family and I were away this summer and we were enjoying the drive, taking in the scenery with clear skies and a smooth ride. One minute everything was calm, the next there was torrential rain and lightning. The sky turned white, and we could no longer see clearly, but, we had to keep going. We slowed our pace, tightened our focus, and pressed forward with faith.

This experience got me thinking that life is exactly like that. One moment, everything is calm and steady. The next, a curve ball hits.  It's something you didn't expect and something you couldn't possibly plan for. In those moments, what do you do? Because truthfully, you can't just throw in the towel.  We can't allow fear, worry, or anxiety to overtake us. We have to keep moving forward, because so much is at stake.

Think about it: what would happen to your marriage, your family, your ministry if you let one setback stop you? If you turned back and abandoned the calling on your life? If you walked away from building the family, the business, the ministry God entrusted to you? Let that sit for a moment.

As an avid planner, I've had to learn this truth: despite my best intentions, I can't plan for everything. None of us can. But the good news? We don't have to because we know the One who does.

Scripture Reflection

✞ God knows the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:10).
✞ His ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30).
✞ He will not put more on you than you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Heart Truths

So yes, you can make it through the curve balls, the setbacks, the disappointments, the discouragements. We did and soon enough, the storm broke, and we were back to clear skies and a smooth ride.

I want to encourage you today: trust God with the journey of your life. 

💛 He will walk with you through every storm. 

💛 He will teach you, equip you, and empower you. 

💛 He will even show you how to make lemonade when life hands you lemons.

Loving Well In Action

When the skies shift, here's your roadmap:

💛 Pause: Give yourself permission to stop, acknowledge the change in situation and breathe before reacting.

💛 Pray: Invite God into the situation because He sees what you cannot.

💛 Proceed with caution but proceed: Move forward in faith, even if it's just one small step at a time.

Whatever you do, keep going. Your people are counting on you to make it through.

 You've got this, because God's got you!
