There’s an Oak Tree Inside of You

The other day, I was working on something with my best friend, and honestly, I didn't believe I could do it. Doubt had crept in, and I was ready to back out. But she stopped me and reminded me that I had what it takes. She spoke firmly, with love, and pushed me to keep going.

In that moment, I felt such relief. I didn't have to muster up the courage on my own. Someone else believed in me, spoke life over me, and gave me the push I needed.

I can truly say that I've been blessed with a tribe who pushes me, challenges me, corrects me, and cheers me on. And you need that too!

I once heard Bishop T.D. Jakes say, “You are an acorn. Surround yourself with people who see the oak tree in you.” Those words have never left me.

An acorn may look small and insignificant, but inside is the potential for a mighty oak tree. That's you!

You may be in the acorn stage right now… building, stretching, waiting, believing. But know this: There is greatness inside of you!

Still, life has a way of making us doubt:

❌ Doubt your calling.
❌ Doubt your abilities.
❌ Doubt if you can keep juggling marriage, motherhood, and your career without dropping a ball.
❌ Doubt if your ministry is really making an impact.
❌ Doubt if your friendships are real and genuine.
❌ Doubt if your business will ever turn the corner.

It's in moments like these that you need your people the most. The people who see the oak tree in you even when you feel small like an acorn.

Scripture Reflection

There are more with you than against you. (2 Kings 6:16)

Heart Truths

The truth is, you are not alone. It may feel like you don't have anyone in your corner, but there are people rooting for you. Their support may look different, but it's there.

Not everyone is against you. Not everyone wants to see you fail.

Yes, there's a real enemy who opposes you.
Yes, there are haters who lurk in the shadows.
But just as real, there are people who genuinely want to see you win.

✨ People who will cheer you on when life starts “life-ing.”
✨ People who will speak to the oak tree in you when you can't see it yourself.
✨ People who will support you without jealousy, comparison, or competition.

Just pure love with no conditions.

They want to see you:
🎯 Build a healthy and loving marriage.
🎯 Raise a beautiful family in a home filled with peace.
🎯 Launch and grow a successful business.
🎯 Walk boldly in your ministry that will impact generations.
🎯 Change your family and its future lineage.
🎯 Stay steady in the relationships that mean the most to you.

Love In Action

This week, I encourage you to pause and lean into two things:

1. Identify your people
💕 If you already have your tribe: Value them. Don't take their support for granted. Nurture those relationships and cover them in prayer. Ask God to continue aligning you with people who will cheer you on.

💕 If you don't have your tribe: Ask God to reveal the people He has assigned to walk with you in this season. Trust that He will connect you.

2. Identify your season
🌱 If you are in an acorn season: Give yourself grace. Remember that growth takes time. What looks small today carries the potential for something mighty tomorrow. Stay rooted, stay faithful, and let God do the growing.

🌳 If you are in an oak tree season: Be intentional about speaking life to someone still in their acorn stage. Encourage them, remind them of their potential, and let them borrow your faith until theirs grows stronger. Someone may need that from you right now.

No oak tree stands tall alone. Loving well means valuing the people God has placed in your life, letting them pour into you, and you pouring back into others along the way.
