Christmas Is Here!
Christmas Day is finally here, the long awaited morning that many of us have been preparing for weeks. It is the day that lived in our thoughts while we shopped, planned, and made sure every detail was handled so that our people would feel cared for and covered.
As women, we often carry the season quietly. We think ahead about what everyone will need, we dream with our children about Santa, we help them make their lists, and we prepare our homes so that they feel warm, welcoming, and ready. Long before today arrived, our hearts were already at work loving our families well.
Now that the day is here, there is a fullness in the air. It may not be perfect, but it is meaningful, and it is filled with the evidence of love poured out over time.
Scripture ReflectionFor unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given.
~ Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
Heart TruthsChristmas reminds us of both the visible and sacred reasons we celebrate. Yes, this season is filled with traditions, laughter, food, and memories being made around the table. But at the center of it all is the greatest reason of all, the birth of Jesus.
Unto us a King was born. A Savior entered the world wrapped in humility and love. Because of Him, love has purpose, family has meaning, and the care you extend to your people carries eternal value.
Someone needed your love this season, and you showed up. Someone felt safe, seen, and supported because of the effort you made. That love matters, and it reflects the heart of Christ in your home.
Loving Well In ActionAs the day unfolds, here are two things you can do to receive the gift of today:
Give yourself permission to slow down. Truly soak it in today. Allow yourself to be present in the moments that matter most instead of focusing on what still needs to be done.
Take time to sit and notice. Notice the laughter, the conversations around the table, and even the imperfections that make this day real. Look at the people around you and let gratitude rise for the gift of family, community, and connection that God has entrusted to you.
Finish With IntentionAs you move through today, remember that loving well does not require perfection. It requires presence, gratitude, and a heart anchored in love.
May this Christmas leave you reminded that your love matters, your presence is a gift, and what you poured into this season was not in vain.
Wishing you a peaceful and joy filled Christmas with the ones you hold close.
